Mother's Day rescue just ducky

Bookmark and Share
Firefighter Paramedic Brandt Jorgenson was part of the team that rescued eight ducklings rescued from the bottom of a storm drain at Paseo Santa Cruz and Camino Del Lago on Mother's Day morning when firefighters and Pleasanton police answered a resident's call for help. While the apparent mother duck was pacing around the top of the drain, firefighters from Engine 94 of the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department gained access to the drain and safely removed the ducklings. Battalion Chief Joe Testa said the crew then took all the ducks to a nearby park for a quacky Mother's Day celebration.
