Youth volunteer charged with molestation

A Livermore man has been charged with child molestation in a case involving a 16-year-old over the last year, according to a Pleasanton police report.
Carloe Estigo, 35, was arrested April 15; police withheld notification because of the nature of the incident.
The case came to light when the girl's mother notified police she'd discovered her daughter had been molested by Estigo, the report said.
He was known to the family through their church in Castro Valley, where Estigo volunteered with the youth group, according to the report, which said Estigo is being held in the Santa Rita Jail on felony charges of committing a lewd act on a child and sexual assault.
