A "source close to Palin" told RCP that she had turned down a new offer of $50 dollars annually from FOX News CEO Roger Ailes. After being "rebuffed" by Palin, Ailes told the New York Times in a hasty statement that she wasn't worth more than $50, but that he wished her the best just the same.
The news is not very surprising, especially since FOX News ratings have fallen behind CNN and on high-volume news days even MSNBC. Unconfirmed reports have seemed to underscore how FOX, seeing its ratings slip in what the Liberal networks are saying is a demographic shift toward liberal policies, is now considering becoming a Liberal network itself. Stated Ailes: "For some time now we've seen nothing but communist news reporting from the NYTimes and mainstream networks. It's about time we pried away some of that good Marxist stuff from the lamestream." He went on to say that Palin being "stupid" had nothing to do with his decision.
Palin, upon arriving at her decision, announced she's returning to Alaska with what remains of her hillbilly family and that she's looking forward to once again spending days marvelling at the gorgeous Russian tundra viewable from her front porch.
