Need info on fostering cats

Original post made by Jenni, Parkside, on Jun 13, 2013

I find myself in a position to find a temporary (maybe 2 months) home for my sisters two adult cats. She is quite ill and will be in a nursing home for awhile.

There are in home pet care services or boarding facilities, both of which may have long term rates. (I know the services of both types if you are interested.) I don't know of any temporary fostering, and there seems to be a shortage of fosters for cats according to another thread on the PW. I hope your sister is well again soon.

If I knew your dates, and how we could get in touch privately, I would consider fostering for you. I love cats, miss mine, and enjoy them in the home. I'm not savvy enough to know how to do talk with you offline.

Any suggestions?

Mary and Jenni, I can play matchmaker.

Send me your emails and I will exchange them so you don't have to post them for the world (or at least Pleasanton) to see.

Wow Mary, thank you so much for offering to help. I don't know anyone involved, but think it is such a beautiful thing you have offered to a total stranger in need. Speaks well of the good people in this community. You're an angel.
