Dying or Diseased Redwood trees?

Original post made by Concerned on Mar 7, 2014

I've noticed a number of Redwood trees along Valley Ave. between Hopyard and Bernal are dying. Curious if anyone knows why, or has noticed this in other parts of town. I'm wondering what we can do to protect our trees and if it is something that will spread.

I agree that it's a very serious concern.

I wasn't aware of any issues. But yesterday, all the redwoods at the valley entrance to Danbury Park were removed...just ruined the valley approach.

About a month ago...I heard a story on a news channel...and they mentioned the affect a drought can & will have on Redwood trees...especially because this is not their native area.
