New Transportation Secretary Spearheads Obama's Attack on Christians

Original post made by Troy Bethel on Apr 30, 2013

We heard President Obama at the Press Club affair mock American citizens who are concerned about Obama's war upon Christianity. Well, Mr. President, this is no laughing matter.

Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx, who Obama tapped Tuesday to be the next transportation secretary, just declared Thursday "A Day of Reason" in his home city, and asked Charlotte's citizens to observe the day.

May 2 is traditionally the National Day of Prayer, a government-designated religious event designed to encourage people to "turn to God in prayer and meditation."

But Foxx argued in his proclamation May 2 was better served as A Day of Reason because "the application of reason, more than any other means, has proven to offer hope for human survival on Earth."

More than prayer? Apparently so. Several current and former Democrat lawmakers have also expressed their support for the day, including Rep. Michael Honda, D-Calif., Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton, D-D.C., and former Rep. Pete Stark, D-Calif.

The American Humanist Association, whose slogan is "Good without a God," created the National Day of Reason with the Washington Area Secular Humanists to raise awareness about government threats to religious liberty and up the profile of the non-religious community. The day will includes acts of service and discussions on rational thought. What has been conspicuously left off the agenda is how Reason is semantically very close to Treason, especially when one slams Christian faithful as the AHA and the new Transportation Secretary are doing.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-Tx)expressed outrage in response to what appears to be a treasonous effort to usurp the U.S. Constitution where Christianity is specified as our national religion. "Here Reason actually means treasonous tyranny," Cruz bellowed. He then continued, "There's a place for reason on God's green earth, but not when it is used to justify murdering babies, taking away our guns, and excessive government regulation of our job-creating heroes." The Senator then vowed a lengthy filibuster of the anti-Christian's nomination as Transportation Secretary.

No religious tests are ALLOWED for any PUBLIC position in AMERICA ! !
Most of our founders were Deists (believing in a god, but not religion, most were escaping the religious wars of Europe).
There is no national religion allowed by our Constitution.
How is 'reason' close to 'treason'?
Any American is free to pray, or not, as they please, and to whom they please, ANY of our 365 days of the year !!!
Try to adapt to the concept of 'freedom' ! ! Freedom is beautiful. Many have died to give us 'freedom' !!!

I challenge "Troy Bethel, a resident of the Another Pleasanton neighborhood " as a real resident of Pleasanton. He is more likely a resident of out of the area.

He is likely a religious extremist.

A 'Day of Reason' eh? Well, when "reason" produces global warming hysteria and rationalizes millions of abortions, I'll stick with tried and true prayer. Mike, stay in Dublin where you belong. I'm surprised your fellow Dubliners haven't had a better influence upon you.
