Original post made by Ken, Another Pleasanton neighborhood, on Apr 3, 2013

I was in a Foothill High School classroom and some of the girls were sharing experiences of their middle school P.E. teacher, who they said would look at their bodies in a way that made them feel uncomfortable. I asked if they had told anyone. They said that they had told their parents and had also told the middle school principal. I asked what happened, and they said, nothing, 'the principal told us the P.E. teacher wouldn't do that'.

About six years ago my daughter had a male PE teacher at a Pleasanton middle school that was downright creepy and would even comment to her on her body type. Needless to say I called him out on it and promptly demanded she be switched to a different class. After speaking to him directly to discuss the issue, I ended the conversation completely understanding why my daughter didn't want to be around him or in his class.

Listen to your kids. Don't forget that we had a child molester posing as a tennis instructor at Castlewood for a decade or two who was around many of our children and who is now serving federal time after pleading guilty to child molestation charges. It can happen to your kids even in a community like Pleasanton.
