College Application Question

Original post made by Steven on Oct 5, 2013

On the UC and CSU college application there is a question in the 'Honors Section' asking for "number of Honors"? What are they talking about? Thank you.

It means how many honors have you received. For example, we're you honored by the French Foreign Legion? Or did you receive the Congressional Medal of Honor? Perhaps you've read all the novels of Honore de Balzac, or earned the "100% Completion" badge in Medal of Honor. Stuff like that.

I'd recommend mixing the lofty with the mundane. Have you honored thy mother and father? Any Cub Scout honor or merit badges? My brother-in-law once received the honor of being Top Employee of the Week at a Denny's Restaurant in Cleveland, Ohio. Oh dear, I hope I don't get censored for having offended the editors.
