Foodies unite as they taste test new products

Original post made on Jul 9, 2013

I love to eat, so when the opportunity came to taste test at a food lab in Livermore, I jumped at the chance. I felt even more excited when I found out that at the end of the test, I would get paid.

Nicely written article. I know the lab is always looking for more tasters. My children (now grown up) and I have been tasters for over a decade and are always excited when we are selected and meet the criteria.

Did you know that here in Pleasanton we also have a consumer testing site "The Consumer Learning Center" that does anything from food to cleaning and other types of consumer products. They pay you for your opinion and to sign up is really easy!

Here is the link: www.theclc.com

Who get excluded? Are "illegals" accepted? If so, I'll spread the word! Thank you.

Did this a couple of times back in the very early 80s. They paid 2 bucks a pop. When I think about driving to and from, wait time and questionnaire work front and back, I suspect the organization's accountants were laughing openly as they did the books; but I was in college then, and 2 bucks could get you close to a sixer.
