I'm from the past when classrooms were filled with Presidential information during February, and February was called "President's" month...I don't remember voting to remove those dates.
My son was born on Feb 22, George Washington's birthday, so his BD was always a holiday. But we can't honor Washington, Lincoln, or president's MONTH anymore. When is president's month now ??? Right, our kids don't even know the names, or faces, if Jay Leno were to stop young adults with these questions. Sad all our presidents have pretty much all been dumped on the trashheap of history. Some push to add new people to replace. And so many new PC subjects added, there is little time for reading, writing, and arithmetic, much less fully understanding what our founders invisioned for our new America.

Careful, 'Washington', lest you be branded for not upholding the politically correct dogma. Feel good, guilt riddance is high on the liberal agenda, but rewriting history may be a close second.
Either way, we must not look back to our wayward past when all our ancestors did was find new ways to oppress the ignorant. We must mend our ways for wrongs we had no bearing on, including colonization, slavery and genocide.
Our past presidents were all part of this history, so they must all be very bad and not worthy of recognition, like the Africans sold into slavery by their own people.

Cindy, you personally owned slaves? Then, why the guilt, hand wringing and bleeding heart? Surely, you must be guilty of some heinous offense, so say the lobs....please, feel your guilt in your own way and don't inflict it upon the rest of us.
