Oh the money we blow providing the best of medical, dental, and comfort for the convicts. Shuffling them back and forth to county hospital for opertions or any little pain...or an one of several old
shooting wounds. We rescue them patch them up, they go back to the neighborhood to shoot up again, and, again. . . sort of like a giant black hole money pit.

It reminds me of a drunk in SF that's been arrested about 400+ times. The drunk doesn't care. He gets a free night in a hotel-jail and some free food. Oh yeah, and free medical. We pay for it with higher taxes and all the police resources that it takes to recycle this guy.
Multiple that by 1000 times a day and you can pat yourself on the back for paying the bill. (I am fuming right now)

I'm fumin' too. Can't we just string these suckers up or somethin? Prisons are supposed to be like hotel rooms. I bet they even put a cube of chocolat on there pillows too.

it's the civilized thing to do...treat people who have medical needs with respect...provide the needed care when indicated..who decided that the guy needed to be taken to a hospital? initial diagnosis? what was the need for medical care based upon? somebody's ass is gonna be grass...tee hee

Hmmm... A contortionist, is he? If not, it sounds as though the prison needs to conduct a very thorough review of its transport "restraint" systems. Both mechanical and human.
