Low flying jet
Around Town, posted by kbenson, a resident of the Mohr Park neighborhood, on Nov 4, 2012 at 1:10 pm

Just heard it fly above my house. Thought I was re-living my military days.

Any laws exist to prevent them from flying so low? BTW It was probably larry E's private jet.

Also I hear this or similar jet flying late as night, so I suppose money talks.

I've seen them Saturday and Sunday and a low-flying helicopter after the jet on Sunday. What's going on?

Just a guess: Veteran's Day Parade

Navy jets performed a flyover before Sundays raiders game. On Saturday they were practicing their route, as they do prior to any flyover.

Yes! The flyovers were brought to us by our local VFW and were a spectacular addition to our Veteran's Day Parade and celebration!

@kbensen

Jealousy is an ugly trait.

As we were waiting next to the Veterans Hall waiting

to walk in the Veterans Parade on Sunday, we had an

Awesome Flyover. It surprised even us. It was very cool !

...and the Huey with the gunner in the opened side door

waving the flag to us and circling....made me feel warm

and fuzzy. It was incredible! Thank you Veterans!

@Arroyo

jealous? Hardly.

No annoyed just like I am annoyed when someone with a Harley fires up his/her bike @ 4:30am AND runs the throttle several times (20 sec or more)

The thing that ticks me is the fact that wealthy organizations can "bribe" people with money- just like they are bribing you to post your moronic comment.

Flew right over my house...awesome!!

FAA regulations require that planes fly no lower than 500ft above the ground over unpopulated areas and 1500 ft over populated areas.

The FAA can grant waivers to this rule under certain circumstances such as public celebrations or observances. The pilots must adhere to any special requests regarding the route and maneuvers performed.

Anyway darn good formation flying by the pilots, especially the wing man who kept rock solid 3 ft standard wingtip separation on the 60 degree bank in their turn towards the east foothills.

Yes, warm and fuzzy. A dozen or so drones buzzing above the horizon would have been ice cream on the apple pie! But I won't feel entirely cuddley until we get a real commander in chief One who will increase our battleships to 1916 levels and who will treat Russia like the evil empire that it is. America WAKE UP!

'American warrior'---not. Did you leave your skirt on a Berkeley sidewalk? Man up...you passifists must really love our current w.h. Occupiers limp wristed 'leadership' in allowing Iran to continue to develop nukes. But, then you naive dolts think everyone shares your myopic view of the world and that they really mean to bring us dozens of daisies and to expand our worldview with their tolerant religious leadership.

Yup, people will surely respect you when you constantly kiss their feet and appear subservient and passive.
