We now hear that the WhiteHouse was notified within 2 hours of the Benghazi attack.

So Obama and the State Department lied.

There was no protest about a video.

This attack went on for more than 5 hours, so there was time for the US to save at least 2 of our people...but didn't.

Obama and other Democrats have to be defeated at the ballot box if America is to remain a free country.

Of course, they knew and covered it up. obama claimed that terrorism, and Al Queda in particular, was in decline, ignoring reality completely. Chris Stevens had requested security, knowing that the embassy was under threat of attack and the administration shoe not to act.
All, to try to prop up his failing foreign policy, weakness in the face of our enemies and pacifism in order to suck up to his far left supporters.
Sad, that innocent lives were lost in the process of trying to improve or perserve obamas image for the sake of his relelction bid.

Give it up guys. The mass majority is not buying into your conspiracy theories. You're the same tribe that is also behind the "birther" conspiracy movement. You've cried "wolf" so many times that you just don't have any credibility left at all. Bye.

I actually would be more concerned if the president didn't know.

Before technology changed communication, the American public spent a lot of time in the dark about what was going on around the world. There are lots of good jokes about those of us who spent time practicing ducking under desks in case of a nuclear attack (makes me wonder what parents thought of the whole thing).

Given that news does travel so quickly now, taking two weeks to confirm it was a planned attack registers as foot dragging at least, but I don't see a conspiracy or any particular cover up.

Hey Sam,
You said, "Give it up..." Give what up exactly? The truth? Like the evidence reported in the following article ... by a liberal news source too!

CBS... Web Link

This is an impeachable of many our 'esteemed' (fraud) President has committed. (He has not been impeached because this requires Senate majority vote, and the Senate has a democrat impeachment has not and will not happen.

BTW: Kathleen...Since Obama knew, this means he engaged in deliberate and prolonged deception of the American public. And yes, if he didn't it is also problematic. Also, since we've learned that he has a terrible record of attending intelligence briefs, it would not be surprising that he didn't hear firsthand about the initial consulate bombings last Summer.

Bottomline...he cares more about his reelection than the lives of these 4 Americans who died.

This incident is far worse than Watergate. No one in the Watergate mess died during that event.

Romney brought this matter up at the 2nd debate and was immediately slapped down. Since then, he's been conspicuously mum. Any mention of it in the 3rd debate? Romney wants to run from this issue as fast as he can, yet the conspiracy teabaggers continue to remind citizens of this huge, Romney-sized embarrassment. Romney made his bed with these zanies, and now he's got to sleep with them. Nighty night Mitt!

Hey, just because Joe Biden said during the VP debates, we didn't know they even needed any more security, and we can see the emails that told him what he needed to know the very same day that it was happening doesn't mean he lied.
Joe is a happy warrior, he happily covered this up, just like UN Amb Susan Rice did on 5 Sunday shows a week later, and just like President Obama repeated 6 times in the UN speech. Chris Matthews can read a newspaper, can't you? It was this awful video that triggered everything!
Do you think the President and VP have time to campaign in Vegas, Ohio, and hang with Jay-Z in NY, AND read these emails?

I don't understand how anything pertaining to the Libyan affair is anything like Watergate. Nor do I understand what exactly it is that's supposed to be worse than Watergate. Nor do I understand what it is that seems to be an impeachable offense. So, maybe "He Knew" or some other bright bulb can enlighten us. Sounds to me like the wheels have just come off of someone's tricycle.

Also, why isn't the Romney Campaign zealously pursuing this, besides the obvious that they are still shell-shocked from the debacle of a 3rd debate or, probably even more the case, that they know pursuing it will only lead to more embarrassment for their campaign?

Posted by Mittens, a resident of Another Pleasanton neighborhood

The Romney campaign is not pursuing this because they don't have to, there's already enough people all over this. You know when the MSM is reporting this and it makes obami look bad, it must really be a problem they can't ignore.
Romney is staying on message, talking about the economy and bringing to light obamas failed record.
Obamis coverup of the nature of the terrorist attack may not be impeachable, but it should cost him the election. Back to Chicago....

I see. So, based upon Mittens's response, there isn't much to the story. Since Romney campaign doesn't want to get any more egg on its face than it already has on this issue, better to let the right-wing media toss some mud on the wall with hopes something will stick. Pretty desperate.

As for "He Knew", not very surprising that he wouldn't be able to address the questions I have raised above. All dirt slinging, which is what the haters are good at. But nothing that is capable of elevating itself above dirt. Or, is "He Knew" and Mittens the same poster. I do very much have the sense that I'm simply feeding a mentally imbalanced troll.

Sam, you're clueless. And Kathleen, gentle foot-dragging doesn't excuse the coverup.
First I'm no tea bagger. Second, I check each channel daily for their
focus and omissions. During this election season I spend more time with CNN, because they SHOW numbers and facts, AND have PLENTY of WORLD REPORTERS. Anybody watching MSNBC never ever knew about this the first WEEK, since msnbc is strictly partisan chattering with OPINIONS...just 'commenters' like us, NO reporters with factual references.....carefully selected partisan. So easy to tell the INFORMED from the IGNORANT. easy to spot on PW too,,those following elementary scripts, sad for America.
Luckily, I had been focused on CNN, and with their reporters imbedded thruout mid-east, I saw live, in real time, the whole thing for weeks. CNN reporters slipped in immediately, where nobody else, including US officials, went !! In fact the administration got upset with Anderson Cooper when on day THREE he was showing & talking about Stevens hourly/daily journal cnn had recovered from the rubble. He told how administration was mad they got in. They said it was no problem, cause there was no security. While our Wash Wheels were turning SLOWLY. Their reporters can slip in where others did not....including nobody from our government had yet been there. then, aw shucks, all messed up now, so why bother searching at we didn't! ! !! Unbelievable !
Britian had already pulled out their ambassadors in the region because of mounting AlQueda attacks, leading up to 9-11. But with the approaching 9-11 ANNIVERSARY, US did nothing.!. Ambasssador Stevens left the Tripoli location because of the danger & went to Bengahzi, but there are growing AlQueda splinters thruout the region. and our ambassador was not secure, before, during, or after 9-11 anniversary!!!! beyond dumb!!!
On day TWO, (12th) McCain on foreign security committee said it was an AlQueda attack. When Hillary finally took the fall last week, to protect the president, Dan Rather said, oh no, it stops at the PRESident".
Hours after the attack the Pres flew off to keep his fundraiser in the very CRITICAL state of NEVada!! All this "foot-dragging', stalling, down-playing, STONEWALLING, was to 'buy time'....critical campaigning time !!!! ...can recover, & say on my we just a later date...Meanwhile, cannot make up thos critical limited days for campaigning. How insulting, he thinks we are that dumb !!! only SOME are that dumb and gullible ! ! It's just too obvious...timing SO EVIDENT. The tragedy is, when he returned from his LAS VEGAS fundraiser, and Nevada college kids, Obama did an the clip above which was carefully edited. During that interview, when talking of the murders of Ambassador team, Obama said ""there will be those little BUMPS along way"" !! Really ??? little bumps???? Why isn't msnbc playing THAT CLIP...Do they ONLY play edited clips?
Obama lied with actions TWICE. One, refusing to call it a 9-11 ANNIVERSARY AlQueda TerrorIST Attack, (different that GENERIC place & time act of terror) so that it could NOT be said there was an attack ON HIS WATCH. TWO, the 'decision' to STALL, pretend, buy time...all I need is each day getting closer to election without the big 'REVEAL'. 'just make it to the election'.A DECEITFUL COVERUP stalling and toying the Americans !! Disgusting, dishonest, and POLITICAL...putting personal politics, ahead of our security in the world. Nobody knew anything about Watergate until after the elections.

Posted by My own eyes, a resident of Another Pleasanton neighborhood

Oh yes, PBS covered it pretty much from day one, talking about the stall, (buying time, call it investgating, which they have not even started, and then say, trail is cold.....after the election).
Since Obama keeps talking about giving a go ahead nod, on the seals plan to get bin laden, Obama has been spinning a tale (lie) about the end of AlQueda, which on world channels, CNN, C-Span experts, and PBS, many have acknowledged AlQueda splinters are growing thruout the mideast ! !....ain't nothin' ended, AlQueda is going strong, doing just fine without the old man. (but, shhhhh, don't tell anybody until the election's over.) Keep the focus on silly Romney stuff as a DIVERSON....Obama's campaign of distract & divert, just keep opposition from talking about him.. so chatter about the opposition with any lie that comes to mind.
Sometimes voters have swept leaders into power they end up regreting. We must remember how Obama was caught on open mic telling Putin, just lay low until after election, I'll have more flexibility then. I fear for the middle-class as he restructures the class warfare he has been flaming. What areas are going to move to front burner, once he knows he can do anytbing he wants, and never, ever worry about what voters think again ! ! ! Beyond scary...terrifying!

Sounds like "My Own Eyes" is the same troll, saying the same things, as what he says using other names. Oh, and he watches a lot of t.v. And he's no conspiracy theorist, unless that 'shuckin' and jivin' Obama is involved.

You lost the election, troll. You lost it because the Republican Party has been taken over by people as dumb and gullible as yourself.

By the way, you still haven't begun to address the questions I raised above. Sorry, but saying you watch a lot of t.v. just doesn't cut it in the world of adults. That's no argument but rather is simply an admission of ignorance.

No troll here, just facts and live boring adult real time news for me. I keep DVR recordings from imbedded world reporters to reference the facts.. Not edited cuts and clips. No disgusting petty partisan chatter for me, that's for partisan puppets. Adult news is not blabbermouths creating theatre. And my DVR is kept full of boring adult reports like CNN & PBS, both appropriately questioning these timelines and motives... I keep & reference the facts in these news films. Only peabrains follow script propaganda. I prefer to believe my own eyes.
I didn't say a word about Republican party...irrelevant to these facts. The President has entangled himself in a web of pretense and denial he created.

If I were a tv addict, I wouldn't be boasting of it on a public forum. Without books, the addict is left hopelessly adrift in the currents of superficial mainstream news reportage. Too, it makes one ripe for conspiracy theories as manifested by Pleasanton's sick troll, call him lib is a disease/he knew/my eyes/mittens -- all the same sick little puppy.

Obama covered up everything about Libya because he was an affirm action student who did not really have the intellect to succeed in college. The facts overwhelmed his mental capacity so he lied in a state of panic. He got help in the cover up from the same person who masterfully changed all of his college grades and manipulated the selection process for the harvard law review. The media of course manipulated the presidential election in 2008 and also covered up his Kenyan birth and secret Al Queda membership.Just ask Donald Trump, the brillant highly educated super intellect billionaire:)

State Department knew it was a planned terrorist attack on 9/12. Why was UN Ambassador Rice on 5 network news shows on 9/16 saying a result of a spontaneous riot ignited by a video? Either complete incompetence or deception by Obama Administration. Time to change Presidents!

You are clinging to this issue not because it is really relevant to Obama and his competence as President, because it is not,but because you are so desperate because of your hate of this president.Sorry, but Romney has already dug his own grave with his inability to be consistent and truthful.
It is interesting that because the administration had some communication issues in a very complex situation,Obama needs to go.Romney however can say whatever he wants, change his positions daily, lie about past statements but he fit to be president.Think about it.

NO book has been written on Bengahzi!. I value books, but certain isses are 'time' sensitive! Oh, you can be sure this will be in a book someday!! This issue is ALL about time...specifically the ANNIVERSARY of 9-11. Only the most incompetent fool would think it's just another day on the calendar IN the hotbed of Bengahzi ! ! ! duh ! I'll stick to LIVE, REAL-TIME, UNedited, UNclipped world reporting for me. Anybody who doesn't utilize this modern miracle isn't fully informed. Clips and interpretations don't cut it for me. I'll chew my own food, as well.

Haven't you all heard? Romney's mouthpiece, John Sununu, claims Colin Powell is endorsing Obama because Powell and Obama are both black. Which likely means, if you follow the reasoning, that Sununu is supporting Romney because he is white. At last! A little bit of honesty coming from the Romney camp!

The level of desperation, measured by the venting of vile racist attitudes and beliefs, is patent. Coulter with her fear of black rioting in the streets; Sununu's racist identification; Priece's frequent quips about our 'lazy' president; Palin with her 'shuck and jive' comments. What a lovely mix of humanity they are! Fortunately, they will again have to suffer the ignominity of defeat as the black guy remains in the White House for another four years. Chew on that!

Oh, and you can bet a book will come out on Libya before the election. Written by a racist, Republican hack bent on smearing the black commie in office, 200,000 copies will be purchased by the Koch bros., thereby making it an instant top seller. No one will be fooled, except the racists who will have more hate-filled glop to slobber over.

Jonathan said: "Haven't you all heard? Romney's mouthpiece, John Sununu, claims Colin Powell is endorsing Obama because Powell and Obama are both black."

Racism and bigotry are perpetual problems in the Republican party. I also remember that there was an ugly incident at the Republican national convention that made national news where some conventioneers were throwing peanuts at a black newswoman while shouting "This is how we feed animals!".
