Rotary Club's Halloween Spirit Run on Main Street this morning

The Rotary Club of Pleasanton will hold its second annual Halloween Spirit Run this morning with proceeds to benefit the club's Wheelchairs for the Needy program, in partnership with the Wheelchair Foundation.

another reason not to live in the downtown area-unable to get out of your driveway at times.

instead of complaining about what an inconenience, why dont you embrace living near the location of some great events and go participate and join in.
If you cant beat them, join em.

The number of traffic disruptions Pleasantonians have to put up with for parades and events in the downtown area are becoming a major pain. Sunday's Spirit Run is a good example with some major arteries being closed in addition to Main Street. The closure of Valley Avenue from the Fairgrounds to Paseo Santa Cruz is a specific example of a major artery being closed which will cause some significant detours.

I urge folks that are fatigued with all the street closures for events to contact members of the City Council to voice their frustrations.

Really? Complaining about occasional road closures, to support another worthy event for a good cause that brings community together? As a long time downtown resident, I would be happy if you moved away to some generic suburb in Nevada. It would be cheaper for you too, and I'm sure you would find 100x more things to complain about. Good riddance. I will request a parade for that one.
