Judge questions reliability of key witness in 1984 murder of Foothill High freshman

A judge Wednesday questioned the reliability of a key prosecution witness in the murder of 14-year-old Pleasanton high school student Tina Faelz in 1984 but ruled that there's still enough evidence to have the suspect in the case stand trial.

I am thankful that he will have to stand trial and I hope that justice is served in Tina's memory.

Tina was on my soccer team one year and attended my blue bird/campfire meetings from time to time. Now, 28 years later, I still think about that day and don't like taking out the trash or getting the mail in the dark.

I had a class with S. Carlson and it's creapy to know that I sat at the same table as him.

I am hopeful her family can have some closure and that a conviction is made.
