The Trash Can Cleaning Company Around Town, posted by Carol, a resident of the Stoneridge neighborhood, on Aug 6, 2007 at 2:22 pm
Has anybody used this great new service?! I had a tag left on my trash can so gave them a call, because mine did need doing. They came out the following week and made my trash cans (both of them) look and smell like new. The great thing I thought aswell was they take all the mess with them, no water or anything left behind. The prices are excellent too. The operators told me that they have just started this business and they decided to start in Pleasanton. I say give them ago, you have nothing to loose (apart from the old smell).

Thats an interesting idea for a business, never really heard of anything like it. I do have to say trash cans can become quite stinky after a while. Kudos to the business owner, although something I would never do, I am interested to see if they will be able to stay in business for a good amount of time.

I also found this idea very interesting and intriguing so decided to call them. Subsequently they cleaned out 2 of my trash cans! I was more impressed by the professional way in which my trash can was cleaned, and i have to admit for the first time it smelt real good!

We clean out our own cans infrequently but I always wonder about that filthy detritus draining to the Bay. How does this company clean the cans? What do they do with the wastewater?

I wondered the same thing myself. Amazingly they recycle water and do things the 'green way' nothing goes into the bay. The person cleaning was very informative and explained everything. Apparently they dump the dirty water at a treatment facility somewhere. It really is a great service and something I no longer have to do myself!

I personally think it is a good idea esp. for people who are living in townhome communities like myself. We have to store the trash cans inside the garage which is really unpleasant most of the time. Sometimes my car starts stinking as well if I leave the windows down. And, I cannot just hose them down on the common street, as that directly flows to the bay. I might give them a try.

Hi,
Finally got the trash cans cleaned from VIP. They look cleaner than ever and smell fresher than ever. Very simple, smart and green solution to a very common problem.

Hi,
I got them today. Very fresh and clean. And no mess was left behind. I think this service should be promoted by Pleasanton City more, this saves so much water and prevents filthy water entering the bay. Cool service....

I got my trash can cleaned as well today. I could not wait to tell you all how clean and fresh they look and smell. VIP guys were really nice and helpful as well, in explaining how they recycle water and prevent water from entering into the Bay. And service per month costs the same as one Starbucks mocha latte....I agree with Daisy, it is time to be a bit more responsible with our resources and environment.
