A former Nebraska man was sentenced Friday to 25 years to life after being convicted in April for the ongoing sexual abuse of an underage Alameda County girl.

If you hold up this one conviction against the tax payers' money spent on apprehension, trial, conviction, sentencing, I think you'll find that there is way too much money being spent on this kind of law enforcement. What is a child's safety compared to the enormous price we have to pay for it? Please note, too, there is no additive value in this kind of case. Just a big waste of money to protect a kid or two.
