You missed the boat with this one, Cindy, primarily because you could have named all the morality-legislating Republican sleezeballs who have been found over the years to be going over to the 'dark side', but for some reason you didn't. Are you feeling intimidated by the right-wing honkers on these posts? I understand if that is the case, as they are a pretty frightening lot. But still, a blogger wannabee, if she believes in her craft, should look for courage.

Larry Craig, for example -- and the only Republican you name -- is most interesting not merely because he turned out to be a homosexual, but that for years he ran a virulently anti-gay crusade as part of his need to appeal to all the other closeted, repressed, gay, right-wing fascists in Ida-ho but Ida-rather-sheep.

It's not so much the fall, Cindy. No one is perfect. It is when the fallen reveals that he who has been riding the rails of hypocrisy -- cruelly, and at other people's expense -- has been doing so for all of his political life. My strong hunch is that if you look more closely at the list of fallen -- the Republican molester of young pages in Florida, the New York Republican who was advertising himself on ebay, or even the gay prostitute fake journalist George Bush was so friendly with and called upon for a question virtually every one of the 4 press conferences he gave over eight years -- you'll find a theme of hypocrisy which compounds in multiples the seriousness of the transgressions.

Barney Frank, on the other hand, but for the same reason, is not so interesting. He wasn't cheating on a wife or family, for one thing, he was already out of the closet, and he never campaigned on a holier-than-thou anti-gay crusade. But that really is the distinguishing feature when considering Dems v. Repubs. One is open and honest; the other closeted, hate-filled, self-loathing -- all prime ingredients of the fascist personality.

Our highest elected state official in California is boinking his housemaid, and hiding the effects, a child, from his own wife.

But please, Barney Frank is no better, a pervert versus a sociopath liar, both are messed up.

Par for government.

You forgot to mention Spitzer, former NY governor who was all against prostitution and then got caught with a prostitute, spending over two hours with her on Valentine's day! And now he gets a gig on TV, unbelievable!

But the Arnold thing is worse. He got his wife and his maid pregnant around the same time, since the kids were born days apart. And he is supposed to be a republican, who are supposed to be for "family values."

And then Palin issues a statement criticizing Arnold.... has she forgotten her unwed teen pregnant daughter who is now making money because of it?

Republicans are hypocrites! Democrats are getting their share of scandals but at least they do not run with "family values" campaigns

billy-you forgot to mention that Dems consider their immoral dalliances to be resume enhancements. Who else but someone like Ted Kennedy could be directly responsible for his mistresses death, only to later run for re-election.

The only thing Arnold proved is that he is male, got his opportunity, and took it. No different than 95% of men. If Maria had been taking care of business he wouldn't have dined out elsewhere.

Cindy you need to find more relevancy before you engage your mouth or fingers. What's with listing all the criminals. I saw a marriage counselor on TV yesterday say 25 years...they had a successful marriage ! ! Arnold's biggest crime was acting like a Kennedy ! ! ! Shall we start with Maria's Uncle Jack...US President; of course her Uncle Teddy a US Senator was a serial philanderer for decades; and Maria's Grandpa, Ambassador Joe Kennedy who played with Hollywood starlets and even brought them home to Hyannis Port. Maria's Grandma Rose taught all the Kennedy females to turn their eyes, keep silent and support your man. Maria's Mother Eunice (Pres Jack K sister) told Maria when Arnold thought about running in the recall 'he's going to run, get over it, and start campaigning'. Kennedy women have always 'lived with it'...it's sex Cindy...not a crime! Although Uncle Jack had many escorted in and out of the WhiteHouse, which is what made Clinton think he could copy JFK.
The next generation of Kennedy men are in play now...about 2 years ago you remember the 'babysitter' situation with Bobby's son..with his family babysitter ! ! Maria had carried out her role as a Kennedy woman until now....which has more to do with her stage of life than anything. She didn't want the delay of Gov wife, but served her time, and now wants like she has all along, to do her own more independent work, ironically in women's transisitions...this is not new for her. Also, I think she wanted to wait until the children were old enough to understand divorce better.
Becasuse of the extremely excessive and extremely public Kennedy men's sexual excapades that she watched, Grandmother and Aunts stand silently by, she really didn't want to be another Kennedy women living through the PUBLIC EXPOSE'...which is different than living it SILENTLY.
CINDY, you really lost any credibility you might have had, dragging in criminals, sexual deviants, etc. etc. SO NOT relevant, this is plain old secret sex, although most Kennedy sex wound up not being very secret. AND, by law, the husband of a married women is the child's father...happens up and down most streets in America...Pleasanton too ! (Barney Frank, Larry Craig, Dem Spitzer & his orchestrated, convoluted train ride prostitute,John Edwards who would have been the DEM candidate last time, and the MAIL thief Dem Ways&Means Chair Dan Rostenkowski???...please Cindy, try to be more relevant !

Rita, Maria and the other woman had children five days apart. Seems Maria was in the kitchen, and Arnold was filling up on seconds in the pantry.

Hmmmm thinks adultry is the same as teen pregnancy. Teens sleeping together is one thing a husband cheating on his wife and children is a very diffent one.
Rita do you really think this is the wife's fault cuz she wasn't keeping him happy... OH PLEASE the only thing that could keep a man like that happy is if he could sleep with himself.
Face it, it speaks of character or lack of it and that is all.

Rita, you just set women back 100 years. So its a wifes fault if her husband strays. Oh please, you could never keep a sleezy spouse happy. Get real, you sound like a real cupcake.

Char,

As a male I can tell you that if not happy we all wander. Don't believe anything your husband, boyfriend, friend tell you because we all stay if not taken care of regardless of what we tell you.
