I don't think this is the first time that BART has reconfigured the lines to the SFO Airport. They have had the Dublin-Pleasanton line a transfer line and a direct line in the past, just as they have had the Millbrae station parallel and at the end of the line in the past. If you look at the system maps in the BART train cars, you will see that they have been edited with overlays to reflect the periodic changes to routing. As far as the impact is concerned, Pleasanton travelers will need to add a safety buffer of 20 minutes to their journey, effectively taking one earlier train out of Pleasanton than before. Instead of using Daly City as the transfer point, I would suggest using downtown SFO or Balboa Park station.
