Original post made on Nov 24, 2009

This would be great for P-town! And maybe I could see Joe Thornton with his shirt off.

Please note this is a story that started over a year ago but is a process that continues. The most recent event being the commission's vote.

Maybe the current outdoor rink can be moved there and free up the library parking. It's been a nightmare trying to go there lately.

Hi T.H. The commission vote was a year and a half ago. You're right of course that the process continues, but the vote referenced in this story was taken in April 2008.

This new facility is a great opportunity to grow the sport of ice skating and hockey especially. For the individual named jon davis, the notion that this industry is on the decline is absolutely absurd, and comical for that matter. the sport of hockey is growing at such a rapid pace, that for the first time in nhl history a player that grew up in california playing junior hockey was selected first overall in the 2010 entry draft!! for people not in the know, that is monumental since this sport has been dominated by the candians and euro players. we are now seeing a shift in the level of talent coming out of the united states and especially california.
