On Saturday, November 14th, at 7:00 PM, the IBEW Hall will host a film event featuring the documentary, "American Drug Wars." This film shows how money, power, & greed have corrupted not just the drug pushers & users, but, an entire government. More importantly, it shows what can be done about it. This is not a pro-drug, stoner film; but, a collection of expert testimonials from the troops on the ground, on the front lines of the drug war - from those who are living it. Lots of FBI & CIA analysts interviewed. Celebrity guest appearances in the film include Joe Rogan (Fear Factor & UFC host) and Tommy Chong.
This event is open to the public, free/$3.00 donations accepted, refreshments are served, wheelchair access, & convenient parking. Meet & greet starts at 6:30 PM, while a short discussion follows the film. The IBEW Hall is located at 6250 Village Parkway, Dublin. Drive past Carl Jr, heading south and it's the second driveway on the righthand side past after the freeway onramp.

The event already happened; so, you can take down this posting. I apparently missed the deadline posting it in the events section; so, I put it up on the townsquare.:-) It was a great flick, great food, and the discussion afterwards was lively and enjoyable. It's amazing the varying thoughts that pop up after seeing a film like this, coming from a variety of people's experiences and educational backgrounds. We have these films once a month at the IBEW Hall in Dublin. It's a great place to see interesting films and discuss local, national and world affairs with friendly, intelligent people. Remember that most news media these days tailor their news to a 6th grade mentality. This is a plade where you can think beyond those contrictions. No one is trying to sell you anything. We'll be skipping our movie night in December because of the holidays.
