Books & Movies, posted by Treker, a resident of the Downtown neighborhood, on May 27, 2009 at 2:50 pm

If you are a Star Trek fan from way back you'll hate this new movie. If you don't believe me check out the link below.

I disagree.

I am a Star Trek fan from the 60's. Never got into the follow ups (Next Gen, Deep Space 9).My wife, son and I saw it opening night on Imax and completely enjoyed this movie. I put it right behind Star Trek 2: Wrath of Kahn.

In fact, the main criticism in your link is that it's too "fun" and "watchable". If you don't understand sarcasm, you probably shouldn't be viewing anything to do with The Onion or Onion News Network.

My only criticism is that it was replaced on Imax by Night At The Museum 2 much too quickly. (8^P

AVHS Dad - I think you are the one "...don't understand sarcasm, you probably shouldn't be viewing anything to do with The Onion or Onion News Network." It was a joke that deserved sharing. Amazing that you thought I didn't get it. People are not as dumb as you think, I am not brain dead for god's sake.

I guess I'm getting dense in my old age.

Live long and prosper!
