The current issue (08/24) "Newsfront" section features the work on the Alviso Adobe. The article states the "Alviso Adobe, which dates back to 3420 B.C......" Elsewhere Andy Jorgensen says the beauty of the SITE is that it's 4,000 years old...
I'm confused about the dates mentioned since the building was supposedly erected in 1844-46, the first adobe house to be built in the Pleasanton Valley. Can you clarify this for me, please.

It was a very unfortunate mistake. It should say that the land has been habited since 3420 B.C. That's not how long the adobe has been there. There will be a correction in Friday's newspaper. Thank you for your comments.
