Oh no! This is my favorite Chinese place. I hate seeing hard working people getting robbed by lazy worthless thugs. I hope they take the steps necessary to defend themselves.

I cannot believe this happened. First, let me say, I hope no one was hurt by this low-life. That family who own it are wonderful people. We have kids the same age as their son and I hope they are all OK. I'm really sad this happened to them. now to reality: Pleasanton just isn't the same anymore. With the BART extension and the surrounding communities with their lottery of "high density" housing it has made it so we can't maintain a safe city. And thanks to Jerry Brown suing us for our lack of low income housing it won't be long now til the dream is over. This state and it's crazy policies have taken a family community and changed it for the absolute worst. The only way out of a toilet is to flush, sadly, that is what needs to happen in our city and state. We will have to flush it and leave. Thanks for the utopia ideal...it's working out great...err not so much. Again, sorry this happened to this family. May God bless you and I thank him for keeping you safe from this kind of parasite.

When the state's new gun laws are passed, this won't be able to happen. Only good people will be able to buy guns.

My dream, based upon our Founding Fathers, is that every shop owner has a 12-gauge that they use on every little snot-nosed pilferer who thinks they can get away with shoplifting with no consequence. Once the shop owners start showing they are patriotic 2nd amendment advocates, the little twerps will stop attempting to steal candy bars.

Gold Chopsticks has been held up before.
Once again the perp is "black adult male, 18 to 20 years old". Time for some serious profiling with "stop and search" in Pleasanton. Time for the Pleasanton cops to cut their priority from catching Grandma speeding, and to prioritize stopping the weekly hold-ups in Pleasanton.
OK, all you left wing-nuts can start howling.

Chuck...you took the words out of my mouth! Almost every recent crime here is the same profile. True religion at Paragon just got robbed by 5 of the same profile. This is just crazy!

It's so sad our town seems to be under attack by thieves. I agree it is time for the Pleasanton cops to start some profiling "stop and search" type of work. During the summer our town has more burglery and robberies than any other time.

Golden Chopsticks is a great place and I'm sorry it got robbed-again!
I hope no one got hurt. Our family loves that place! They have the best lemon chicken and sweet and sour pork ever!jDtQW

Everyone should go to this establishment and support them in the time of need by eating there. We did last night after learning about what happened. If only we could have covered the only two exits out of the neighborhood we could have caught them.

This is just across the street from an elementary school! and across the street from the fire department. This is ridiculous. Something needs to be done. Also Golden Chopsticks has been robbed twice, but why not the store next door, or even Girasole or even Valero's? Is someone holding a grudge against this place? I hope the owners can figure a way to protect themselves or install cameras and keep this from happening again.

So terrible that this is happening to business owners who are just working hard to provide Pleasanton with a good place to eat.

We need more police presence and show that Pleasanton as a community will not tolerate these acts.

We need more

I've been eating there forever. Great food and owners. Getting away east on WLP leaves limited options. Only two intersections to escape. I'd think ptown police would have just parked and waited.

Okay, so this place keeps on getting robbed and it's neighbors don't. Something doesn't add up here. I know the area is being overrun with entitlement types, but I smell a rat. Or maybe a dog in the kettle? Wonder how much insurance is being claimed for these 'robberys'? Why hasn't the owners invested in a high security camera system? Sounds a bit too convenient for me,

Ptown cops should do something about it to deter this kind of thing.

Steve, you need your head felt. The owners of Gold Chopsticks have been great members of our community for many years. You wouldn't wish to work as hard. There is nothing convenient about armed robbery.

First we have the mother blaming two black youths for taking her child in her stroller. Now we have, once again, this restaurant making unverifiable claims about a black youth. Is this how one makes a quick buck in Pleasanton? Cry wolf and place blame on a black male?

The police have stopped patrolling this shopping center since the back is gated up with the new Walmart grocery store going in.

In the last few months, the following businesses have also been robbed:

The dry cleaners
Dominos Pizza
Mountain Mikes

There needs to be a police presence regularly patrolling this shopping center. Instead, the police cars are going up and down Santa Rita pulling people over for random reasons (they don't appear to be speeding).

Immediately I see. Hmmm...No nasty comments or name calling; no ranting. Just a suggestion. Wonder what happened?
