California View Makes Texans Sick: Rick Perry Goes on the Offensive

Original post made by Rescuing America, Another Pleasanton neighborhood, on Apr 28, 2013

The liberal lamestream media hit a new low when the Sacramento Bee published a cartoon that's mocks Gov. Rick Perry's touting of Texas as a low-regulation state. The Governor said Friday he's disgusted by the cartoon that depicts him boasting about booming business in Texas, then shows an explosion, a week after a fertilizer plant explosion killed 14 people in a Texas town.

Perry said he wants an apology from the Sacramento Bee on behalf of the town.

The cartoon in Thursday's edition shows Perry crowing that "Business is Booming," flanked by signs saying "Low Tax!" and "`Low Regs!" It's a play on the Republican's often-repeated mantra that his state's low-regulation, business-friendly climate has its economy humming.

The next panel reads "Boom!" as a blast engulfs the area behind the governor and his signs.

An April 17 explosion in the town of West, which is outside Waco, left a crater more than 90 feet wide and is estimated to have caused more than $100 million in damage. The blast occurred moments after a fire was reported at the West Fertilizer plant.

Ten of the people killed were first responders who rushed to the nighttime blaze.

In a letter to the Bee's editor, Perry said it "was with extreme disgust and disappointment I viewed your recent cartoon." Yes, can you imagine sitting in the Governor's mansion, sipping high quality wine, and seeing that cartoon? It's enough to offend the sensibilities of any righteous Texan.

Yes, the fertilizer company hadn't been inspected in at least 7 years, but the Governor hadn't been criticized like that like for ever. What people in Democratic la-la land California don't understand is in Texas people value freedom -- freedom to pollute and endanger others, freedom to store and manufacture dangerous chemicals in high-density neighborhoods, freedom to chafe when someone thinks they're arrogant enough to mock the Texan model of freedom.

.....and now ask for Federal aid relief. Interesting after their reps voted against it for those in NY and NJ after Sandy.

Another false flag from the Obama camp perhaps? Who exactly was behind the bombing of the fertilizer plant? Who'd have had the resources and motive to do such a thing? Why hasn't there been a major investigation of the perpetrators? Likely the bombing was done just to embarrass Governor Perry, which speaks volumes about the depths Democrats will sink.
