Did Not Appreciate Thorne's ROBO Chamber call for Narum

Original post made by Voter, Another Pleasanton neighborhood, on Apr 23, 2013

Our Family did not appreciate Thorne's Robo Call for Narum. We understand the Chamber PAC is paying for this on behalf of Kathy Narum. You won't see all of her donations to her campaign until after this Special Election. The final filing period will show up AFTER! Watch for all of the Union money that comes in after.

Huh, the unions are supporting Sanwong. The union money will go to Sanwong!

I did not appreciate Thorne's Robo call either. Narum gets a lot of money from those developers who is interested in building high density housing in Pleasanton. So Sanwong is getting union money, Narum is getting developer money. Interesting....

Sick of Pleasanton "newbies" who don't understand that it was developers that helped build Pleasanton into what they enjoy today - built the infrastructure, built the commerce and homes that provide the affluent tax base that funds/funded the very things they enjoy..and many of these developers live and play in Pleasanton to this day - thank them.

I'm LOLing at the Miller people (person, maybe?)who has been trying to deflect criticism away from Miller by posting identical complaints about the other candidates. Real mature, guy(s?)!

LOL on you!

Miller seems to get the support of narrow minded, scary religious types. Does Miller want creationism in public schools? Who knows?

If I have to vote for Miller to keep Pleasanton classy and white then AMEN so be it! Let Oaklanders stay where they belong, and let the United Nations go wage war on Africa or something. What's wrong with creationism in school? Only a liberal heathen elitist could be against GOD in our schools.

Looks like there are a few people worried about a candidate that isn't funded by special interests, who might actually represent the citizens here and not the vested interests. Doesn't surprise me. Love the baseless accusations that are designed to scare people - is that because you can't deal with the issues??

Funny how Miller suddenly pretends he isn't getting all this outside financial backing from scary fringe political tea-bagger types.

Attacking one's personal beliefs.

It,s sicking to read many of the post on this page about Miller and GOD. This election is about who can best represent the people of Ptown and not about GOD.

If you do not agree with his views that's fine do not vote for him.

But GOD is not running so please stop attaching him.

Oh lessismore is so correct. This use to be a good White God fearing nation. Now, the whole world is turning into Oakland and we have only one candidate who is willing to stand up to the threat of the United Nations to take over our preciuos town. The way I see it, a vote for Miller is a vote for God and against the UN. Keep the world out of P-Town!

What does the UN have to do with Pleasanton council ? ? ? Get real.
Pleasanton Council is not for wannabes to experiment with and "USE" our city mike, hoping to gain cred for 'PARTISAN' office. "Fighting', for the sake of fighting, does nothing to improve our Pleasanton neighborhoods.
Any egostical wannabe who doesn't have the decency to spend the time to 'SERVE' on Pleasanton COMMITTEES and BOARDS, BEFORE daring to run for council, needs to be taught the process, and learning curve. I do NOT want a mouthy egomanic experimenting at the council level...bad, looks like we might already have one of those anyway.

The way I see it, a vote for Miller keeps the United Nations enforced bicyclists off our streets. They're a menace, and soon all the helmets will have to be a sickening sky blue, as in United Nations blue. Just how many of us want to be surrounded by that?

I did not appreciate the call either. If there is going to be a call. it should come from the candidate herself, not the Mayor.

I got 2 calls from Thorne and one from Miller. Which is worse, I don't know, but I will Vote for Olivia.

And personally, I don't know anyone that voted for Thorne so he could use his title to advertise for his cronies.

It is time to get the facts out. Narum has done some volunteer work, sure. But she is a stay at home mom. I am not knocking that, but Miller is the primary support of his family.

Miller did not have time to be a park or trails commissioner, he has a job and pays his bills. Lets not put people down because they work to support their family, versus volunteering for jobs just to keep busy.

If Miller did not have time to be a parks & rec commissioner which is one meeting per month, how in the heck is he going to have time to be on the Council, attend all the meetings and read the stacks of paper?

To just wondering; It's not so. Kook-Calio never served on any Commissions. She works full-time. She was elected without volunteer experience in this Community. She mamages to attend meetings and read her stack of papers.

The hate speech coming from the citizens of PTown is unbecoming. It doesn't convince anyone to vote for anyone. The loosey goosey throwing around of words and NO facts to destroy others is obnoxious.
Robo calls are part of the election process. If people don't want to listen to them then don't. Mailers and yard signs are also a part of the process as are endorsements and walking precincts. Soon May 7 will be here and we can all go back to trying to be neighborly.

Olivia HAS volunteer experience, current business experience, lived in the community for decades, and has a fresh perspective. She is a leader who knows how to solve problems. It takes courage to step forward and challenge the "old guard". That is a characteristic of someone who knows how to lead.

There are many skills sets to serving. One must be able to work well with others and listen to all, especially those who traditionally don't show up to meetings, (because maybe they are busy raising their families, getting kids to school and working on establishing themselves). Then consider the best solution for Pleasanton.

Mark your ballots for Olivia for City Council and mail them today. They are postage paid. Remember they must be in by May 7, postmarks don't count. If you can't mail it by Thursday then take them to the City Clerk's office at 123 Main Street by 5:00 on Tuesday.

Man, thanks for pointing out that Miller can't possibly take on any more than his current job. His hands are full, and he doesn't multi-task well, or take on learning and researching easily.

Interesting how you act like a woman and try to twist my words. David does not have spare time to be filled with busy work. He will do the job well, if elected. He just doesn't have hours and hours of time like a stay at home mom with NO kid at home any more.
