Inauguration of Chief Bully is Approaching.

Original post made by Michael Austin, Pleasanton Meadows, on Jan 2, 2017

January 20, 2017 Donald Trump will be inaugurated as the 45TH. President of the United States. History disputes this. Trump will be the 45TH. person to be inaugurated as president. Glover Cleveland was the 22ND. and 24th. President to be inaugurated.

So much to discuss...

"January 20, 2017 Donald Trump will be inaugurated as the 45TH. President of the United States. History disputes this. Trump will be the 45TH. person to be inaugurated as president."

So it seems your beef in this sentence is the use of "President" instead of "person"? Otherwise, what is the point?

"Glover Cleveland was the 22ND. and 24th. President to be inaugurated."

Ok, so what is the connection to Trump?

"Trump is considered to be a bully by many, by way of his national recognition during his speeches on the campaign trail and during the debates. Trump was nationally recognized as the Nation's lead bully."

Where is the evidence of his being a bully and how do you gauge that he is "nationally recognized as the Nations lead bully"? I'm not doubting you, I'm just wondering where I can see it.

"It was all a national charade, well-orchestrated and the only method available for Trump to win the national election to the highest office in the land."

So his bully behavior was a charade or the election was a charade? You can't have both.
Trumps method of winning was most assuredly not a charade. He won the electoral count fair and square. He won states he wasn't supposed to win and when you look at the electoral map, he won the vast majority of the county vote. So I have to assume you mean his behavior during the election and if so, you're contradicting yourself.

"Sow doubt, stir outrage, fabricate conspiracies and cause national havoc".
"Parry and deflect counter attack and wherever possible avoid apologizing".

So these quotes from a lawyer who represented Trump back in the 70's and early 80's in business deals, and died in 1986 are evidence that Trump is a bully, how? You forgot to include that Cohan was the one who sniffed out actual spies in the Rosenburgs...but hey, you have your agenda.

"The democratic party is now self-destructing. Leading the way in the democratic party destruction is Nancy Pelosi, supporter John Kerry, with Pelosi's favorites, Eric Swalwell, and Gavin Newsom, answering her continuous demands for gathering the faithful to surround her, embrace her bleeding-heart liberalism, or else."

Good! One thing we can agree on.

Oh good grief. The election is over. Time to move on. Trump will be President and at least deserves the minimum amount of respect. And please, give the dude at least the first 100 days before coming up with an opinion. He takes office and that is that.
Strongly recommend you research 'decline to state' option; that way you can complain equally about the Dem or GOP party. Of course, now both congress and the new president will have about the same level of approval ratings. And looky GOP already shooting itself in the foot, first thing; drain the swamp my arse.

SHale,

"And looky GOP already shooting itself in the foot..."

The GOP never said they were going to drain the swamp, Trump did. They tried to gut the gov ethics office today and Trump called them on it, saying that they have more important priorities. Of course they backed down because that's what weasels do.

It appears to me as if the GOP STILL has not learned the lesson of Trumps election. I expected the dems to be slow on the take, but the Repubs are going to get a slapped and slapped hard if they don't get it quick.

Seriously. ??? LOL. This cracks me up. The dude won. Bottom line. You can't take it back. It's done. A referee cannot change his call once it's made. Live with it and move on.

Yeah, just after I posted my comment I saw the articles GOP House members 'reversed' themselves maybe due to Trump's twitter comments.
Hum, isn't Trump as President elect the head of his party? What he says, minions in congress do, no? He said 'drain the swamp' has backed away from that and then HIS new congress decided to thrown up the toggle to FILL the swamp AND get away with it. Congress is so confused, regardless who is in 'majority'. Like who decided it was a good idea for THIS to be a priority that needed work on? Sheesh, no wonder congress has such low approval ratings.
And we keep voting them back in....

SHale,

Before you think gutting the Ethics panel is limited to just Republicans, the Dems tried to do this back in 2010: Web Link

Did you or any others make a big deal about this back then?

And when has Trump backed away from draining the swamp? He's already floated disallowing lobbying activities for all cabinet members for 5 years AFTER the term and disallowing Foreign lobbying. This is just the start.

Congress has taken up repealing ObamaCare (good!) and replacing it with a more market-based solution so that's showing at least one of his promises is coming to fruition.

One thing at a time...and good grief, the man isn't even sworn in yet!

Who is making it a big deal? I merely mentioned it was a whacko first priority for the GOP and it looked really really bad. did the American voters want the Ethics panel scrammed? Was it mentioned as a Trump thing-to-do first thing with new congress? I think a few GOP members who have been TAGGED by the office wanted it de-fanged, yah? I mean, really.....And looked what happened when Trump made his comments? Minions nearly had depend moments.
Can't repeal a thing until there is a suitable replacement and so far elzippo is available. It's the details Congress never seems to comprehend.
And, don't barf here, I agree. Give Mister Trump at least the first 100 days.....Congress? well, they will perform as they always do; horribly.
