'Shop for a Cause' to offer discounts at Macy's, funds for ValleyCare

Macy's and ValleyCare Health System's charitable foundation are sponsoring their 9th annual national "Shop For A Cause" charity shopping event Aug. 23.

Well, I don't want to be too much of a wet blanket, but, instead of more shopping, wouldn't you make more of a difference just sending the money you would otherwise have spent on more stuff, all of it, to the charity of your choice?

tom...stop being a jack-ass...ask that somebody PLEASE place lots of cash money...color green! in a brown paper bag...place it under a tree and drop it off in the park...i'll pick up the loot and contact you in 2 weeks to split the loot...duh...cool or what?
