Is this costing the city (i.e., the taxpayers) anything? There are a lot of companies out there that do this for free and actually donate to local causes for the privilege of taking the recycled material. Seems like there is an organization at least once per month in Pleasanton that offers this. Just hope the city is not paying for this.

My postman said it's not a good idea to give to some of these trucks that come by to pick up things we leave out for companies that say they are donating to a cause, as they scope out what we leave to come back and rob our homes later… made me think twice. I rather drop stuff off now days to be sure, as there had been a number of burglaries lately.

One of the organizations that mentioned E-Wast pick up didn't come by Twice (which is ever for me), and when I called the number they said they'd be by but never showed. Not reliable.
