OAH Hearing-Valexis Sutton (Walnut Grove) - Kinglsey conflict of interest

Original post made by WG Fact Finding, Walnut Grove Elementary School, on Dec 20, 2013

Web Link indicates that Walnut Grove custodian Valexis Sutton, daughter of CSEA board president Alex Sutton was involved in an OAH hearing that was initiated on 8/8/2013. The attorney of record is Bogard, Kim Kingsley, the same attorney who recommended to the board to remove Jon Vranesh from Walnut Grove Elementary.

The case number is 2013080269 with the hearing dates of:

10/14/13 9:30 am Hearing 4665 Bernal Avenue
10/17/13 1:00 pm Hearing 1515 CLAY STREET

Jon Vranesh was placed on leave 10/24/2013.

This raises serious conflict of interest issues as to whether Kingsley was an objective investigative law firm in the case of Jon Vranesh or whether Parvin Ahmadi simply used this as a means to go on a rampage to persecute school principal Jon Vranesh.

The Pleasanton Weekly should immediately obtain all records obtaining this OAH hearing and report on this in the next issue of the Pleasanton Weekly.

I thought the custodian at WG was named Mike. A very nice and hardworking guy who has been there for years. Is this Valexis person a night custodian or something? Where did you get the information that this person was the WG custodian?

Hmm, more details starting to come out. I didn't think the district allowed nepotism. Hard to believe the daughter of the union president would necessarily be the most qualified. I noticed the law firm in question is out of Folsom. Any chance there's a connection to former trustee Pat Kernan?

Valexis Sutton from Manteca daughter of the Classified Union president Alex Sutton, is a custodian at Walnut Grove according to a previous PUSD board packet posted on the internet at Web Link on page 318 which is entitled Personnel Document December 13, 2011. The position says: Custodian I, Walnut Grove, Range 15. This may be a night custodian position.

I just googled the law firm Kingsley Bogard www.kblegal.us and found Pat Kernan listed as one of the attorneys. I wonder what role if any he has played in this drama? This just doesn't seem right especially when the taxpayers are paying for all these services.

So let me get this straight if you are the daughter of the CSEA president you can get a promotion regardless of falsifying your time card and intimidating teachers. But if you are Jon Vranesh and you report hostile conditions to the district you get removed. Shame of Parvin. Our children are losing.

When will the board open it's eyes? Why is Valerie Arkin the lone voice of reason? The board is ultimately responsible for 50% of administrators leaving last year. Why would anyone want to be a administrator in this district?

Have you sent this info to the school board? This is important information.

And thank you to those doing their own research. This feels very wrong, way too much conflict of interest. And what a waste of talent and district money. And teachers now not teaching the kids because of stress? Pathetic.

The school board has had 2 months to access Google themselves to figure this out. Perhaps Valerie Arkin is the only school board with the motivation and skills to connect the dots in order to do what is right.

The news reports are filled with stories about power hungry superintendents who rid themselves of principals. For example Web Link discusses where a principal filed a federal lawsuit for defamation against all the individuals involved and denying him due process rights.

For these school teachers and union leaders that may have made false allegations against Mr. Vranesh under pressure from the District and the union, it is time to come clean. In my opinion, if these charges are "false, malicious and reckless," unless they contact the School Board themselves in writing in the next couple of days to recant, these people will be sued and spend the next few years in Federal court.

If there is sufficient evidence to suggest a conspiracy, there could be criminal charges.

I'm sure Jon Vranesh is smart enough to ensure that every single person involved in this travesty is held accountable, both financially and professionally. Bring it on!

I can't help but think that things would be very different if principals had unions to back them in the same way teachers and custodians .

So let me get this straight. I have to work at PUSD knowing that there are different standards for accountability? I lie on my time card and would be fired.
