  1. Whoa—first I’ve heard of this. So sorry this happened. If it’s not a murder/suicide, I sure hope they catch the suspect.

  2. OMG I lived in P-Town all my life and never heard of a tragedy like this. I just read the breaking news and my stomach clasped into my throat. This is a terrible situation and I hope this was not a murder-suicide case because if it is WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE THESE DAYS! If it wasn’t a murder/suicide I agree with Joe and catch the suspect(s). Thoughts and prayers go out to the family that were left behind. 🙂

  3. John – I lived in P-Town for 38 years and I got out. The town is going to S—-.So much crime in pleasantville. Your web link did not show anything diffrent from Pleasanton Weekly.

So you moved to Livermore which has a violent crime rate nearly four times Pleasanton’s rate and a property crime rate 20% higher than Pleasanton’s? Sounds like a smart move.

  5. Funny how “John” says P-Town is going to shit. How many murders are there in this town? Rapes? Like urmonz pointed out John considers Livermore safer? Livermore has true gangs and much more violent crime then Pleasanton. You don’t even need to read stats to know that.

Also this is definitely a horrible tragedy and it’s so shocking because stuff like this never happens here or rarely does. One person said they had never heard of something like this happening here, but just a few years ago there was a double homicide at Castlewood. It was the son, the poker player, and was actually featured on a recent episode of 48 hours.

  6. Get over it P-towners! You can count these types of events happening in P-town on one hand!! Leave if its all too much to handle. Life happens, sometimes people aren’t perfect like you all.

  7. I heard the ambulance or fire trucks go by my house…never occurred to me it could be a homocide. So sad. Overall Pleasanton is a safe place, but every once in a while these things will happen. If this family recently moved here, it may be a follow up to something else that happened elsewhere. Our police are very good at investigating crimes so I feel confident they will find out who killed these two. Let us hope it was not the husband!!

  8. I live outside of st. louis missouri and Amy was my cousin up until this tragedy occurred yesterday. I am completely saddened by this as these two beautiful girls have left us way too soon. Amy and Ainsley you will be remember and loved forever.

  9. Although very sad about what happened…there is no such thing as a perfect town. This isn’t “Pleasantville”…I agree with the other comment from the West of Foothill neighborhood….Life does happen!

  10. Very, very sad. I wonder if there is an ex-husband involved that didn’t like his daughter being moved out of state. With no forced entry, it must have been someone the mother or daughter knew.

  11. OMG one of my friends texted me today and told me that one of her BFFs died an I was like “Wait… Wa..???” And so I searched this on the Internet and was shocked! Then she called me and told me everything and it’s just terrible that something like this could happen! I can’t believe it!

  12. Steve – I don’t see where in the news reports it claimed it was or wasn’t a forced entry. Most of in P-town don’t lock our doors during the day when we are home – Never occured to me that I would need to.

To all the family and friends I am sorry for your loss. It was a senseless act whoever did it. Praying that the police catch them soon.

  13. i lost a good friend yesterday, she will forever be in our hearts. We will always love and remember you, Ainsley.

    R.I.P.
