California State University officials have approved the launch of the system's first online program and that applications are being accepted now for programs at its Monterey Bay campus.

The first program, offered through Cal State Fullerton in Southern California, is for business administration and targets students who have completed some college coursework and want to complete their degree but are unable to attend a campus.

Later this year, applications will also be accepted for a bachelor's degree in women's studies at Cal State East Bay, as well as other
programs at CSU campuses in Northridge and Fresno.

The program will feature an expanded use of technology, including a 24-hour online help desk and faculty coaching, according to CSU officials.

Applications are currently being accepted for master's degrees in instructional science and technology and management and information technology at CSU Monterey Bay, as well as three types of degrees at CSU Dominguez Hills.

Later this year, applications will also be accepted for a bachelor's degree in women's studies at Cal State East Bay, as well as other
programs at CSU campuses in Northridge and Fresno.
