Alameda County Supervisor Nate Miley was sworn in for his fourth term as supervisor for District 4 Monday in a crowded meeting room in the Castro Valley public library.

For Miley, who was first elected to the county board in November 2000 and now also represents Pleasanton, it was also his last day to serve as president of the board, a board-elected position that changes each year.

Bishop Bob Jackson of Acts Full Gospel Church officiated at Monday's ceremony.

Miley was re-elected in 2004 and 2008, and won 70% of the votes cast in the 20112 election. Prior to representing district 4, he was a member of the Oakland City Council, serving its District 6, a position he won in a 1990 municipal election.

After finishing law school at the University of Maryland in 1976, Miley moved to Oakland to work as a Jesuit volunteer. He began his community involvement by working with numerous community-based groups as well as trained community organizers through the National Center for Urban Ethnic Affairs.

The father of two children, he has lived in Oakland for more than 30 years.

District 4, which he represents, now continues to include a part of Oakland and the unincorporated communities of Fairview, Ashland, Castro Valley and Cherryland in addition to the city of Pleasanton.

Why does Jeb Bing keep deleting my comments? Because he doesn't agree with them?

Maybe because of the racist content of most of your posts as was stated to you clearly in another post on the same topic? Because you seem to be too dumb even to recognize the racist contents of your comments even after several other posters inform you of such? Because you seem incapable of writing anything before your self loathing takes over and corrupts the entire substance of your usually off-track comments? Probably something related to these. Keep up the good work, William.

Nice try, Stefan. A better guess is that the PW editors simply see the combination of racism and nonsense offered by William as not moving the conversation forward in any sense of the word. I personally think William is seriously ill and in need of medical attention.

The race card is totally meaningless at this point, having been cheapened by hucksters like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and Obamas minions. But, you white trash low brows keep trying.

Changing you name from William to Mittens does not fool anyone. Sick is as sick does.
